    Poetry Project

"We often say that we want children to take over the machines. We say that we want them to own and use modern technology so that they can express themselves in new and powerful ways. This is it! This project shows us children using the very latest forms of IT for themselves and I hope that schools will lap this up and find ways of doing similar things themselves."

In this project pupils from Walnut Tree Walk and Johanna primary schools worked over a term with performance poet Adisa, using books from the Children's Poetry Prize shortlist. They created recordings about the process and interviewed Adisa and fellow poets Michael Rosen and Tony Mitton. The results are also available on the poetry library website.
