Funding

Researching funding options can seem a daunting task, but there are several sources of information that can simplify the process and help you identify the most relevant funder.

The LONSAS website is a good source of advice and guidance and also offers a regularly updated Knowledgebase which lists funding bodies searchable by keywords. You can also use the knowledgebase to search for useful funding publications.

ContinYou, one of the UK's leading community learning organisation, has produced a free downloadable booklet covering everything you need to know about fundraising. The publication has a particular focus on Out of School Hour learning but much of the advice applies for all fundraising. ContinYou has recently launched a new funding database which gives users direct access to a regularly updated comprehensive list of UK funders.

Arts Council London has produced an Arts Education Pack providing information about funding, networking, forums, groups and publications. The publication was produced in 2004 but the majority of the information is still current and relevant.
